鳥の名前を届ける（WS / video）
“野鳥観察”をキーワードに「見る」ことを考えるプロジェクト。
近年ではドローンやモニターからのライブビューイングなど、”遠隔で見る”という行為が身近になった。特に、ドローンは遠隔操作で自分がその場にいないところから見ることを可能にする。それは時に攻撃の道具にもなり得る。そこに自分が見たという実感は生まれるのだろうか。
そこで、このプロジェクトでは、野鳥観察を「観察係」と「記録係」を別々の場所におき、離れた場所で一つの鳥を見るという試みを行った。２グループをつなぐのは、トランシーバーから聞こえる声のみ。かぎられた状況での野鳥観察は、視覚をわかちあう難しさと喜びを浮かび上がらせるだけでなく、鳥の名前を伏せてやりとりを行うことで、新しく１羽の鳥と出会うことができた。
Delivering bird names (WS / video)
This project focuses on the concept of “seeing” with the key word “birdwatching”.In recent years, “remote viewing” has become more accessible through the use of drones and live-viewing from monitors. In particular, drones make it possible to remotely watch from a distance. This can sometimes be used as a tool for attack. Will it ever be possible to feel that one has seen it?
In this project, therefore, bird watchers were divided into ‘observers’ and ‘recorders’, who attempted to watch a single bird at a distance.
The only link between the two groups was the voice heard over the transceiver. The birdwatching in a closed situation not only brought out the difficulties and joys of sharing the vision, but also led to an encounter with a new bird by communicating without telling the bird’s name.
