この作品は、2018年5月に横浜市立金沢動物園にて黑田が子供たちを対象にした写真のワークショップを開催し、その模様を映像化したものです。
ワークショップは午前・午後の2チームに分かれており、午前中は動物園で撮った写真を使って問題を作る「問題チーム」、午後は問題を読んでどんな写真なのかを考える「推理チーム」の 2 班に分かれて園内を巡りました。
2つのチームは午前と午後に分かれているため、お互いが顔を 合わせることはありません。そのため、自分の問題が誰に渡るのか、そしてどのような回答が得られるのかを見届けることはできません。 この作品はこうした状況の中で、写真を介してどのようなや りとりが行われるのかを映そうと試みたものです。 また、子どもたちには普段あまり触れることのないポラロイド カメラを使用してもらうことで、「写真」に触れながらワークショップを進めました。
This work is a video of The photography workshop that Kuroda organized for children at the Yokohama Kanazawa Zoo in May 2018.
The workshop was divided into two teams, In the AM, the “1, Making of Problem Team” created problems using photos taken at the zoo, and in the PM, the “2,Reasoning team” which think about the photo as problem.
So they never saw each other. Therefore, they cannot see who their questions will go to and what kind of answers they will get.
This work is an attempt to show how the exchange takes place in this situation through photographs. The children were also given Polaroid cameras, which they are not usually exposed to, so that they could experience “photography” as they worked through the workshop.
